A session is a scheduled window during which invited people join your studio: a demo, a rehearsal, a remote recording or a live participation. Guests have access only during their sessions.
Create the session
In the manager, open Sessions for your studio and click New session (or Start a session now for an immediate one). Set the title, date, duration and time zone, and optionally:
- Description (shown to guests).
- Join opens (min before) and Access closes (min after): the access window around the session.
- Backup meeting link (optional — Meet, Teams, Zoom…), shown to guests who cannot connect.
Invite your guests
Under Guests, enter an email, a name and a Role:
- Attendee: sees the backstage.
- On camera: publishes camera and microphone.
- Operator: cameras, lights, prompter, recording, without the program.
- Director: full control (not offered on plans without the Director role).
Then click Send invitations. Each guest receives a personal link, calendar links and a setup test. Reminders are sent automatically 24 h and 1 h before; Send reminder now sends one immediately and Resend sends a fresh link to one guest.
Instead of listing everyone, you can also Enable registration and share the Registration link: Open — joins directly, or Approval — you confirm each one.
What your guests see
The link opens a page where the guest can Test your setup (camera, microphone, network), add the session to their calendar, then Join the session once the access window is open. On a phone, the guest joins as a camera (see Console and Companion); a computer gives the full experience.
Let them in
When a guest enters, they wait until you let them in. In the studio, a badge and a sound appear on People: open it, and under Waiting room click Admit or Refuse. The same list is in Users & Devices in the manager.
Guests you trust can be set to auto-approve (Admin › Users), and Make permanent keeps a guest in the studio outside session windows.
